The most comfortable entry port for Russia backcountry ski tours is via Moscow. Depending on the area, our final destinations are Novokuznetsk (NOZ) for Luzhba ski tours, and Irkutsk (IKT) for Baikal lake ski tours. Many other ports of entry may work, meaning you can arrive on time in a right place to meet with guides. If you doing Trans Siberian with us, your arrival destination will be Irkutsk (IKT) and departure would be from Novokuzntesk (NOZ). Both cities are linked by daily flights with Moscow.

Getting tickets, make sure your overstop is at the same airport for arrving and onward flight within Russia. Its not a big problem to change airports but they are not nessesary linked with direct transfers and therefore you will need to arrange a taxi or shattle or even several through the city.
